This paper seeks evidence of a trend towards greater financial integration among CARICOM countries as well as evidence of the increasing prevalence of financial conglomerates. We examine cross border investment flows; the links between banks, insurance companies and other commercial enterprises; the cross listing of companies on the stock exchange; and the locations of regional branches and subsidiaries of banks, insurance companies, finance companies and other financial as well as non-financial institutions that have established networks spanning several CARICOM economies.
